Brazilian midfielder Arthur Melo may face sanctions for failing to show up at coaching with Barcelona, who concluded a deal to promote him to Juventus a month in the past. The Catalan membership say the participant is below contract till the top of the season and have demanded he return, with the native press claiming he was in his native Brazil. “The player has not joined the squad as expected and we are considering a course of action,” a membership assertion mentioned.
Arthur has been bought to Juventus in a deal value 72 million euros ($81 million) with Bosnian playmaker Miralem Pjanic transferring in the other way for the same charge at season’s finish.
The participant had been reluctant to go away the Camp Nou and even launched a press release in April, insisting his “idea was clear” and that he wished to play at Barcelona “for many years”.
Barca coach Quique Setien mentioned in a press convention on the time of the sale: “We expect the greatest commitment from him until the last day he is here.”
