The Karnataka government would set up 16 universities and 34 autonomous academic institutions in three years, Deputy Chief Minister of the state Dr C N Ashwath Narayan mentioned on Monday.
With the setting up of the institutions, the goal is to obtain the targets of the brand new Education Policy by 12 months 2030, he informed a press convention.
“The government of Karnataka will establish six research-centered universities, 10-teaching-centered universities, and 34 autonomous educational institutions in three years,” mentioned Narayan, who holds the portfolio of upper training.
Earlier, he chaired a gathering with the Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar and senior officers for implementing the training coverage.
