A Jewish witness to the violent assaults carried out throughout Kristallnacht is sharing his experiences to assist educate future generations.
On 9 November 1938 greater than 1,000 synagogues had been attacked in Germany and Austria. It was the outbreak of mass violence in opposition to Jews which was to finish of their mass homicide. It grew to become referred to as Kristallnacht – ‘The night time of damaged glass’.
To mark its anniversary, 96-year-old Jakob Sanger is working with Jroots, a charity that specialises in Holocaust training utilizing accounts of survivors.
