Microsoft stated Sunday it was persevering with talks with Chinese-owned video sharing app TikTookay to buy its US operations, following a gathering with President Donald Trump.
“Following a conversation between Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and President Donald J Trump, Microsoft is prepared to continue discussions to explore a purchase of TikTok in the United States,” the corporate stated in a press release.
Trump has threatened to bar the wildly fashionable app within the United States, citing nationwide safety issues, and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo stated earlier Sunday that the president was set to announce sturdy motion in opposition to TikTookay.
“President Trump has said, ‘Enough,’ and we’re going to fix it,” Pompeo informed Fox News.
