A authorities hospital nurse and her good friend had been arrested on Thursday for allegedly making an attempt to promote a new child woman to a girl for Rs 1 lakh in Indore metropolis of Madhya Pradesh, police mentioned.
Based on the girl’s criticism, the police arrested Shilpa Telang (29), a contractual nurse, and Tejkaran Thakkar alias Bablu (30) after laying a lure, deputy inspector common of police (Indore Range) HC Mishra mentioned.
A manhunt has been launched for others who might have been concerned within the crime, he mentioned.
According to the police, the complainant had initiated the method of adopting a toddler by numerous social organisations in step with the regulation.
When the accused came upon about this, they contacted her and provided her a 10-day-old child woman for Rs 1 lakh, the official mentioned.
“The child has been recovered from the accused and is currently place in a hospital,” he mentioned.
The accused are being questioned about how and from the place that they had bought the toddler, the senior police official mentioned.
While Telang works as contractual nurse with a personal hospital, Thakkar is unemployed, sub-inspector Rupali Badhoriya mentioned.
The duo has been charged below related sections of the IPC and has been despatched in police remand until September 14, it was said.
