The Punjab chief minister said it was a sad irony that the constitutional right of farmers were being oppressed on the Constitution Day. “It’s a tragic irony that on #ConstitutionDay2020 the constitutional proper of farmers is being oppressed on this method. Let them go @mlkhattarji, do not push them to the brink. Let them take their voice to Delhi peacefully,” Singh said.
He also appealed to the BJP to direct the Manohar Lal Khattar led government not to indulge in strong arm tactics against the farmers. “Urge @BJP4India to direct their state governments to not take pleasure in such strong-arm ways in opposition to the farmers. The fingers that feed the nation should be held, not pushed apart, he stated. Farmers are marching in direction of Delhi to protest the Centre’s new farm legal guidelines.
Protesting farmers have expressed apprehension that the Centre’s farm legal guidelines would pave the best way for dismantling of the minimal help value system, leaving them on the “mercy” of huge corporates. The authorities has maintained that farm legal guidelines will convey farmers higher alternatives and usher in new applied sciences in agriculture.
