A civilian was killed and one other injured on Friday as Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire alongside the Line of Control (LoC) in Kamalkote sector of Jammu and Kashmir, officers stated.
The Pakistani troops fired mortars and different weapons, they stated.
The injured civilian has been rushed to a medical facility for remedy, they added.
The officers stated aside from the Kamalkote sector of Uri,ceasefire violations have been reported from two different locations — Izmarg in Gurez sector of Bandipora district and Keran sector of Kupwara district.
A defence spokesman additionally stated that the Army foiled an infiltration bid, which was aided by the ceasefire violation, alongside the LoC in the Keran sector.
