Almost three months after an incident of carjacking at gunpoint within the center of a market in broad daylight, Panchkula police Wednesday arrested three accused within the matter. The police made the data public solely on Thursday.
The accused had been recognized as Ajay Kumar alias Mantri, resident of Faridkot; Amritpal Singh, resident of Moga Punjab; and Harmanjeet Singh alias Bhau, resident of Tarn Taran in Punjab.
Incident had taken place on September 11, round 3.30 pm, when a person was carjacked at gunpoint by 4 unidentified males close to Sector 12-A Railly market of Panchkula.
The sufferer was recognized as Suresh Kumar, who labored as a driver for Kunal Goel, a resident of Sector 12, who owns a Fortuner automotive. Suresh had remained employed with the household for nearly 10 years.
As per the FIR filed by Suresh, he was on his approach to Railly market from from Sector 12 and had parked his automotive close to a footpath. After he returned and obtained into the automotive, 4 males dragged him out of the automotive at gunpoint, took the automotive and drove away. An FIR into the matter was filed underneath sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act and part 392 (theft) of the Indian Penal Code.
The accused had been introduced within the courtroom Thursday and had been despatched to one-day police remand.
