President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will handle the inaugural session of the Governors’ Conference on the National Education Policy on Monday by means of video convention, the Prime Minister’s Office stated.
The convention titled “Role of NEP-2020 in Transforming Higher Education” is being organised by the Ministry of Education.
The Governors’ Conference can also be being attended by schooling ministers of all states, vice-chancellors of state universities and different senior officers.
The assertion famous that the NEP-2020 is the primary schooling coverage of the twenty-first century which was introduced after 34 years of the earlier National Policy on Education in 1986.
The NEP-2020 is directed in the direction of main reforms in each college and better schooling degree.
“The new National Education Policy strives for making India into an equitable and vibrant knowledge society. It envisions an India-centred education system that contributes directly to transforming India into a global superpower,” it stated.
It added that the excellent transformation the NEP goals will convey a few paradigm shift within the nation’s schooling system and create an enabling and reinvigorated academic ecosystem for a brand new ”Atmanirbhar Bharat” as envisaged by the prime minister.
Various webinars, digital conferences, and conclaves on a lot of features of the National Education Policy 2020 are being organised throughout the nation.
The Ministry of Education and University Grants Commission had earlier organised a ”Conclave on Transformational Reforms in Higher Education below National Education Policy-2020”, which was addressed by PM Modi.
