A deputy secretary-rank officer within the Punjab authorities, who was going through accusation of sexual harassment, was compelled to retire from service on Wednesday, a authorities assertion stated.
“Taking action on the complaint of sexual harassment, the Punjab government forcibly retired Deputy Secretary Krishan Kumar Singla from government service,” in line with a authorities launch issued right here.
The officer was posted within the Punjab Civil Secretariat as deputy secretary (on probation).

Acting on the seriousness of the allegations, the secretariat administration referred the matter to the Internal Complaints Committee in opposition to sexual harassment of ladies.
This committee submitted a report back to the Secretariat Administration on March three through which the allegations have been substantiated, stated the discharge.
Taking critical word of the report, Chief Minister Amarinder Singh directed that the officer be forcibly retired from his submit with rapid impact, it stated.
