In its quest for better productiveness with utmost focus on safety in coal mines, the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) is striving to foster a sustainable safety tradition by involving the safety committee members of every coal mine within the efficient implementation of the Safety Management Plan (SMP) of their respective coal mines.
The safety wing of the State-owned premier coal producing firm has performed a slew of coaching programmes for the members of the safety committees in numerous coal mines in Kothagudem area earlier this 12 months.
The firm has resumed the coaching programmes after a brief break of a few weeks owing to the coronavirus-induced disaster consequent upon its renewed plans to scale up coal manufacturing to make up for the manufacturing losses suffered through the latest lockdown interval.
The SCCL’s Kothagudem space comprising the PVK5 incline and VK7 incline underground mines and Gouthamkhani (GKOC), JVROC1, JVROC2 and Kistaram (KTROC) opencast initiatives recorded coal output of 41.81 lakh tonnes towards the mounted goal of 78.55 lakh tonnes within the present monetary 12 months as much as October-end.
In continuation of the coaching initiatives, the safety wing of the federal government owned coal mining large is presently conducting a four-day coaching programme for the safety committee members of the KTROC and GKOC on the RCOA membership at Rudrampur close to Kothagudem.
