More than seven months after the state schooling division performed scholarship examination for students of Class 5 and 8, it has not been in a position to declare its end result yet, leaving hundreds of students in a lurch.
The scholarship examination was performed throughout the state on February 16, 2020. While results of the examination are often declared in a few months, this yr, there is no such thing as a phrase on when it could be out.
“It has been over seven months now and students are eagerly awaiting their results. There is no word from the department on this. If there is a delay, the least we expect is an announcement in this regard,” stated the mum or dad of an aspirant from the town.
The scholarship examination is performed by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination within the month of February yearly.
An official from the schooling division stated that the delay was owing to workers scarcity due to the Covid-19 scenario.
“Due to the resultant lockdown, staff was not able to scan the answersheets in time and hence there is a delay. However the work of evaluation is almost over and the results should be declared soon,” stated a senior official from the division.
This yr, the scholarship query papers had been marred with a number of errors. The errors included spelling errors, typo errors, translation errors and so forth. The council had later launched reply keys for all of the papers.
