Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash on Saturday stated due to poor web connectivity in the state many college students have to stroll miles, climb hills and timber to attend online classes throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dash stated that about 22 lakh kids at the moment are availing e-education in the state, whereas the remaining 38 lakh college students are disadvantaged of the power due to non-availability of cell community in their areas.
He stated Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has taken up the matter with Prime Minister Narendra Modi for increasing internet connectivity in distant areas of the state.
The minister stated this after unfurling the tricolour on the Independence Day operate on the district headquarters city of Jajpur.

Das stated: “Had there been no online classes, the reports of children climbing hills and trees would not have received. I am happy that our teachers are taking online classes.”
The minister stated it has been proposed that academics will go to areas the place there may be poor web connection and train the youngsters at their properties.
