A policeman was dragged on the bonnet of a pickup van for practically 25 kilometres after he tried to cease the automobile in Surat district. A grievance has been registered towards seven passengers, together with the motive force of the pickup van, at Navsari police station on prices of kidnapping and endangering human life amongst others.
According to police, constables Ganesh Chaudhary and Kishan Govind had been on responsibility at Navsari Railway Station space early on Saturday once they stopped a pickup van (registration quantity GJ-5YY-1480) close to resort Ashok in Navsari city and requested the motive force to point out the automobile’s paperwork.
As the motive force failed to point out the papers and tried to flee from the spot, Chaudhary caught one of many passengers within the automobile and climbed on its bonnet.

On reaching Baleshwar village in Palsana taluka, the motive force utilized brake following which the constable fell on the bottom, police mentioned. The pickup van driver then escaped from the spot, they added. The police constable incurred accidents within the incident and was admitted to a hospital.
Chaudhary latter submitted a grievance with Navsari city police station towards seven individuals together with the motive force of pickup van following whereas police registered an offence underneath IPC sections 365 (abduction), 332 (voluntarily inflicting damage with intent to stop or deter an individual or a public servant from discharging his responsibility), 353 (prison drive to discourage public servant from discharge of his responsibility), 337 (endangering human life), 114 (abetment to crime).
Navsari Police Sub-Inspector Tarunkumar Patel mentioned, “The condition of Chaudhary is stable and he has been discharged. On the basis of the vehicle’s registration, we are trying to identify the persons involved in the incident.”
Chaudhary is serving within the Lok Rakshak Dal for final 2.5 years.
