India all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who made his worldwide debut beneath Dhoni in 2016, referred to as his former skipper a pal and an elder brother.

Dhoni retires as Indian cricket’s most profitable captain in limited-over internationals, having received three ICC trophies – 2007 T20 World Cup, 50-over World Cup in 2011 and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy.
