Thiruvananthapuram:
A well being official in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram has been arrested for allegedly raping a 44-year-old lady, who was looking for a coronavirus unfavourable certificates from him.
The complainant has alleged that the official, who’s a junior well being inspector, had allegedly requested her to come back to his home to get the certificates, police mentioned. On reaching his home, the girl mentioned she was allegedly wrongfully confined, tied-up, bodily assaulted and raped.
“The official allegedly physically assaulted her, tied her hands and mouth for some time in between, and raped her. The medical examination has been done. Further investigation is underway. A case has been registered under section 376 of the IPC,” Circle Inspector Suneesh instructed NDTV.
Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja has ordered for the suspension of the official, recognized as Pradeep, from service, pending enquiry.
On late Saturday night time, police arrested an ambulance driver for the alleged rape of a 19-year-old lady in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta, based mostly on the criticism.
However, preliminary probe means that he was employed by the corporate final 12 months and not using a police clearance certificates.
“He has been terminated from the service. We had sent several reminders to few of the recruits asking for the police clearance certificates to be submitted.
