Australia’s Prime Minister Scott Morrison mentioned on Monday Canberra is searching for an apology from Beijing a couple of Tweet containing a false picture of an Australian soldier holding the knife to the throat of an Afghan youngster.
Morrison mentioned Australia was searching for the removing of the “truly repugnant” picture posted on Monday by Zhao Lijian, a spokesman on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“It is utterly outrageous and cannot be justified on any basis… The Chinese government should be utterly ashamed of this post. It diminishes them in the world’s eyes,” Morrison instructed media at a press briefing.
He mentioned international locations world wide have been watching how Beijing responded to tensions in Australia’s relationship with China.
