The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) is trying to begin the coaching camp for each women and men wrestlers by the primary week of August. Vinod Tomar, WFI’s assistant secretary confirmed to ANI that the federation is certainly trying to begin the coaching camp and initially, the Olympic certain athletes will begin coaching first, and later it will likely be expanded for different classes as properly. “We are planning to resume our training camp by the first week of August, we have had discussions on it. Initially, wrestlers from five Olympics weight categories will be invited first and later we will look to expand it for other categories,” Tomar informed ANI.
Tomar additionally clarified that the coaching camp for males will likely be organised in Sonipat whereas for ladies, it will likely be held in Lucknow.
Indian wrestlers had already received Olympic quotas in 4 weight classes.
Ravi Dahiya (57kg), Bajrang Punia (65kg), and Deepak Punia (86kg) bought Olympic quotas amongst males whereas Vinesh Phogat (53) securing a spot within the ladies’s wrestling.
