A ten-month-old child in Tripura’s Unakoti district was allegedly given water combined with sanitiser to drink at a well being centre the place he was taken for administering a polio vaccine, police stated on Wednesday.
A police criticism was registered in opposition to the ASHA (accredited social well being activist) employee for giving the newborn sanitiser-mixed water, police official Pradyot Datta stated.
After the newborn was administered a polio vaccine on the well being centre in Sonamura village on Tuesday, his mom requested the ASHA employee to present consuming water, police stated.
After consuming the water the newborn bought unwell and was taken to a hospital.
Mr Datta stated that as per the preliminary investigation it was discovered to be a mistake.
Health officers stated the newborn was present process remedy and his situation is steady.
