As many as 33 secondary schools, together with two civic-run establishments, in Maharashtra’s Thane district have been declared unauthorised by the Thane Zilla Parishad, an official mentioned on Wednesday.
Notices have been despatched to schools, which have been categorised as unauthorised and managements have been ordered to close these establishments, training officer (secondary) Seshrao Bade has mentioned in his order.
These schools have been requested to provide compliance report back to the Zilla Parishad training division, the official launch said.
Of the 33 unauthorised schools, 18 are English medium, three Hindi and the remaining are Marathi medium schools, whereas the checklist additionally contains two civic-run schools, it was said.
