Mumbai:
Five councillors from Parner in Ahmednagar district, who converted from the Shiv Sena to Sharad Pawar’s NCP final week, have rejoined the Uddhav Thackeray-led get together at the moment.
Local media reviews not too long ago claimed that there have been tensions between the Shiv Sena and its ally NCP over the 5 councillors of the Parner Municipal Council switching over to the Sharad Pawar-led get together.
They had final Saturday joined the NCP within the presence of state Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar at Baramati in Pune district.
This afternoon, the 5 councillors together with Parner NCP MLA Nilesh Lanke and native NCP chief Bhau Koregaokar met Chief Minister and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray at his residence ‘Matoshree’ in Mumbai.
The 5 councillors rejoined the Shiv Sena and stated the Chief Minister assured to resolve their points.
One of them, Mudassar Sayyad, advised reporters that they’d points with the native Shiv Sena management. “The water problem in our area wasn’t getting resolved and we decided to work under the leadership of local NCP MLA Nilesh Lanke,” he stated.
The councillors stated Mr Thackeray has now assured them that their points could be resolved.
Sources near Uddhav Thackeray advised information company Press Trust of India that the Chief Minister made his displeasure identified after the 5 councillors converted to the NCP final week.
“When we are in an alliance and need to run a government, such developments don’t bode well,” Mr Thackeray made it identified, the sources advised information company PTI.
Ajit Pawar despatched the councillors again to ‘Matoshree’ with the native NCP MLA, Sena sources stated.
Earlier this week, NCP chief Sharad Pawar met Uddhav Thackeray on the latter’s residence.
On Tuesday, Shiv Sena’s Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut performed down the Parner problem.
“Some of our councillors joined the NCP in Ajit Dada’s presence. This does not mean Ajit Dada or other senior (NCP) leaders poached those councillors.. But, henceforth, we should speak to each other before taking such a decision,” Mr Raut stated.
“Some things happen unintentionally… The issue is small. It was discussed where it should have been discussed. But there is no bickering due to it,” he added.
The Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress are the three constituents of the Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) authorities.
