A day after the Lok Sabha Speaker apologised and Junior Finance Minister Anurag Thakur needed to say he was pained after repeated adjournments in the home due to his feedback on former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and the Gandhi household, the BJP chief appeared defiant in parliament on Saturday, saying he had performed no incorrect.
Attacking Congress chief Sonia Gandhi for going overseas for therapy, alleging a diversion of funds and misuse of properties by foundations managed by the Gandhis and getting funds from ministries and public sector firms, Anurag Thakur led the assault on the opposition in response to queries in regards to the PM CARES fund.
Condemning the assault on the Gandhis, Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury took on the minister, saying there was decorum for referring to former leaders and it was not being adopted. He attacked the BJP for constantly saying the Congress had scammed the taxpayers however not one allegation may very well be substantiated.

Deflecting the demand for PM CARES to be introduced beneath the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG), he stated, “Those who are demanding CAG audit for this trust, are they ready for the audit of all the trusts being managed by one family?”
