Flood state of affairs remained grim in Bihar as waters from overflowing rivers, largely these originating in Nepal, inundated extra areas leaving 55 lakh plus residents of over a thousand villages affected.
According to a bulletin issued by the catastrophe administration division, no new deaths have been reported from the 14 flood-hit northern districts and the demise rely stands at 13.

“Our men are conducting recce in all the 14 districts and so far they have rescued more than 10,700 people”, Vijay Sinha, commandant of ninth Battalion of NDRF stationed at Bihta close to Patna stated.
According to the catastrophe administration division, 19 aid camps have been arrange in 4 districts Gopalganj, East Champaran, Khagaria and Samastipur. Altogether, 17,554 persons are at current taking shelter.
Addressing the state meeting earlier within the day, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stated that extra aid camps can be arrange if the necessity arose.
More than 9 lakh persons are being supplied with meals at 1,358 group kitchens arrange for flood victims, the catastrophe administration division stated.
