The BJP on Saturday introduced a 70-member election steering committee headed by Union Minister Nityanand Rai for the upcoming meeting polls in Bihar.
The Union minister of state for house affairs has been made chairman-cum-convenor of the committee, whereas the celebration’s state unit basic secretary Devesh Kumar shall be its co-convenor, Bihar BJP chief Sanjay Jaiswal mentioned.
Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi and Union ministers R Ok Singh, Giriraj Singh and Ashwini Kumar Choubey shall be a part of the 70-member crew, he mentioned.
The elections to the 243-member Bihar meeting are due in October-November.
Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad will lead the ballot marketing campaign group.
Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey shall be chairman-cum-convenor of the celebration’s election administration crew, whereas Agriculture Minister Prem Kumar will chair the manifesto committee, Mr Jaiswal mentioned.
Bihar BJP has set a goal to win three-fourth of seats for the NDA within the meeting polls.
