Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday stated the Central authorities has promised 1 crore coronavirus vaccine photographs to the state in the primary part.
Reddy informed the Assembly concerning the Centre’s promise throughout a dialogue on the pandemic on the final day of the winter session.
He stated the state will present the vaccine to frontline employees numbering about 7 lakh in the primary part, adopted by 3.6 lakh healthcare employees and 90 lakh senior residents.
The state is framing pointers with regard to distribution of vaccines and creating storage and transport services.
“Cold chain storage units are needed to store the vaccine between 2 – 8 degrees centigrade. So far, 4,065 units were set up, in addition to 29 refrigerated vehicles to transport the vaccine. Since the vaccination has to be done by professionals, 19,000 ANMs will be roped in and even Asha workers will be trained for additional support,” stated Reddy.
The Chief Minister stated the state authorities has constituted taskforce committees at village, mandal and district ranges to coordinate the efficient implementation.
