Facebook on Saturday blocked reside broadcasts from a chronically sick bed-ridden man who appealed to French President Emmanuel Macron for a medically-assisted loss of life and who needed to indicate what he expects will probably be a painful finish to his life after he introduced that he was stopping all foods and drinks.

French media have reported that Cocq, a 57-year-old former plumber, suffers from a long-term and incurable degenerative sickness. Facebook confirmed that it had blocked Cocq’s live broadcasts.
“Our hearts go out to Alain Cocq and those who are affected by this sad situation,” it stated in a press release. “While we respect his choice to attract consideration to this complicated and tough subject, primarily based on the steering of specialists, we have now taken steps to maintain Alain from broadcasting reside, as we don’t enable the depiction of suicide makes an attempt.”
