The Bombay High Court on Monday requested the Maharashtra authorities to contemplate withdrawing an order handed by the Mumbai Suburban District Collector allotting 102 acres of saltpan land at Kanjurmarg for development of a Metro automotive shed.

Advocate General Ashutosh Kumbhakoni stated he would take directions from the state authorities over the suggestion following which the courtroom posted the matter for additional listening to on December 16.
The Union authorities, in its plea, has claimed that total salt pan lands within the space, together with the 102 acres allotted to MMRDA, belongs to its salt division.
