Hundreds of scientists say there is proof that novel coronavirus in smaller particles within the air can infect individuals and are calling for the World Health Organization to revise recommendations, the New York Times reported on Saturday.
The WHO has stated the coronavirus disease spreads primarily from individual to individual via small droplets from the nostril or mouth, that are expelled when an individual with COVID-19 coughs, sneezes or speaks.
In an open letter to the company, which the researchers plan to publish in a scientific journal subsequent week, 239 scientists in 32 international locations outlined the proof displaying smaller particles can infect individuals, the NYT stated.
