After the weekly assembly, CPI(M) state secretariat in a launch stated, “As Kodiyeri Balakrishnan required further treatment, the secretariat accepted his plea for leave from the role of party state secretary. A Vijayaraghavan (central committee member and LDF convener) would discharge the duties of the state secretary.”
Vijayaraghavan later instructed the media that the choice was solely an association inside an organisation. “When a person is ailing. There is nothing else…” he stated. However, the celebration didn’t clarify why no person was given cost of secretary final 12 months when Balakrishnan had gone overseas for his therapy.
The politburo member has been within the thick of a scandal after his son’s arrest. The ED widened the scope of the probe into Bineesh’s monetary dealings.
The situation has come as a shot within the arm for the Opposition Congress and BJP, however CPI(M) maintained that the celebration will not be related in any method with Bineesh’s acts.
After the ED raid on Bineesh’s premises in Kerala, the CPI(M) determined to step up assault in opposition to the central company, saying that the BJP was utilizing the ED as a political weapon in opposition to opponents. However, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan sought to distance himself from the raid, saying “it was not right to comment on the raid without realising about the evidence in their (ED) possession”.
