'Politics, Nothing Else': Devendra Fadnavis Slams Congress On Farm Bills

Maharashtra BJP chief Devendra Fadnavis on Friday hit out on the Congress and different opposition events on the Centre for opposing the farm sector payments that had been handed within the Parliament.

He mentioned the Congress’s stand on the problem was nothing however “double standards” because it was “out of power”.

Talking to reporters in Navi Mumbai, Mr Fadnavis mentioned the opposition events had been towards the payments only for the sake of politics.

“The same Congress had promised to introduce similar changes (in the laws) when it was in power. They are opposing it just for their politics and nothing else. In fact, not implementing these laws will be anti-farmer,” the previous Maharashtra chief minister mentioned.

“Congress had even mentioned the same promises during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Hence, its current stand is full of double standards,” Mr Fadnavis mentioned.

The Congress together with many different opposition events has claimed that the brand new agriculture legal guidelines will hurt the curiosity of farmers and profit corporates, a declare denied by the federal government.
