The Uttar Pradesh authorities on Thursday determined to give bonus, equal to 30-day salary, to state employees. Nearly 15 lakh employees will profit from the choice. Those who shall be eligible for the bonus embody state authorities employees, authorities and government-aided faculty academics, employees of native our bodies and every day wagers below the state.
A authorities spokesperson stated the choice would value Rs 1,022 crore to the state exchequer. As per the norms, most alloted bonus can be Rs 6,908 per worker. While 25 per cent of the bonus shall be given in money, 75 per cent shall be added to the Provident Fund (PF).
The spokesperson added that each one these employees, who would not have PF account, can be given National Security certificates for a similar quantity.
Speaking to The Indian Express, Yadvendra Mishra, head of Uttar Pradesh Secretariat Employees Association, stated, “The bonus is applicable to class-three and four employees. It is a welcome move and we are thankful. Though we were expecting that if not 100 per cent, then at least 50 per cent of the bonus will be given in cash.”
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officers to arrange evening shelters with the onset of winter. The CM directed the officers to guarantee all required services in the shelters, together with cleanliness and sanitisation in wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. Similar evening shelters may also be arrange in hospitals for the attendants of the sufferers. In a tweet from the official account, the CM introduced that blankets shall be distributed to these in want.
