The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority has suspended Air India Express flights until October 2 for allegedly bringing passengers with Covid-positive certificates twice over the past couple of weeks, senior authorities officers mentioned on Friday.
As per the UAE authorities guidelines, every passenger travelling from India must deliver an authentic Covid-negative certificates from RT-PCR check executed 96 hours previous to the journey.
“A passenger, who had a Covid-positive certificate dated September 2, travelled on Air India Express’ Jaipur-Dubai flight on September 4. A similar incident had happened with a passenger on one of the airline’s other Dubai flights previously,” mentioned one of many officers.
Therefore, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority has suspended Air India Express flights from September 18 to October 2, the officers acknowledged.
Both the incidents of passengers flying with Covid-positive certificates to Dubai from India on Air India Express flights occurred over the past couple of weeks, the officers famous.
When requested about this matter, Air India Express mentioned it’s specializing in decreasing the hardship of the passengers and it plans to function its 4 Dubai flights, scheduled to function from India on Friday, to Sharjah as an alternative.
