The Rajya Sabha by-election to fill the seat which fell vacant because of lack of lifetime of former Samajwadi Party chief Amar Singh shall be held on September 11, the Election Commission launched proper now.
Amar Singh had died in a Singapore hospital on August 1 because of kidney-related issues.
His time interval as a Rajya Sabha member from Uttar Pradesh was till July, 2022.
The notification for the bypoll shall be issued on August 25 and the election could be held on September 11, an Election Commission assertion talked about.
As per the established observe, the counting of votes shall be held on September 11 night time after the conclusion of voting.
