India on Friday stated it expects China to “sincerely” work with it in direction of the target of reaching “complete disengagement” and de-escalation alongside the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and linked way forward for bilateral ties to the state of their border.

Mr Srivastava was referring to choices taken by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on full disengagement of troops alongside the LAC throughout their telephonic talks on July 5.
Mr Doval and Wang Yi are Special Representatives for boundary talks.
The formal means of disengagement of troops started on July 6, a day after the Doval-Wang talks.
The MEA spokesperson stated either side have agreed on broad rules of disengagement and based mostly on it, some progress had been earlier made.
