Four years after Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan lodged a criticism of impersonation with Mumbai Crime Branch’s Cyber unit, senior officers on Monday transferred the case from Cyber unit to Crime Intelligence Unit.
On May 23, 2016, the police had registered a case towards unidentified individuals below sections 419 (impersonation) of the Indian Penal Code, 66 (C) and 66 (D) IT Act. In his criticism he had alleged that mails have been being despatched out from an e mail id which doesn’t belong to him. The mails have been allegedly being despatched to Kangana Ranaut.
Pursuant to the submitting of the case the 2 actors had despatched authorized notices to one another searching for an apology.

A duplicate of the FIR is hooked up herewith for ease of reference. Our consumer co-operated with the investigation and handed over his digital gadgets. It is pertinent to state that inspite of an order dated 30.11.2016, handed by the Ld. Magistrate, Esplanade Court, directing the return of our consumer’s laptop computer and telephone he has not collected the identical as he needed to help the police attain the actual culprits who had impersonated him. The letter said that until date the case was nonetheless pending and requested for completion of investigation.
