Kolkata Knight Riders captain Dinesh Karthik on Thursday opened up on the massive determination made by the franchise final 12 months on not retaining explosive Australia batsman Chris Lynn. The right-handed opening batsman was purchased by KKR first in 2014 auctions, after which he was later purchased by the franchise for a whopping 9.6 crore in 2018 auctions.

Speaking in a video uploaded on the KKR official web site, Karthik defined the explanations behind KKR letting go of the batsman.
“We had to let go of Lynn with a heavy heart, whatever time he spent with the franchise, he was an absolute gun,” he mentioned.

“Such are the dynamics of the auction that you have to let go of some players, Lynn is somebody I am really fond off, he brings a lot to the table,” Karthik additional added.
Meanwhile, the wicketkeeper-batsman additionally went on to reward England captain Eoin Morgan who was purchased by KKR for Rs 5.25 crore and mentioned that his expertise within the center will definitely assist him.
“Eoin Morgan is there with us for this season, I have met him a couple of times, he is a gem of a guy, being a solid human being is something that everyone looks at, he is a World Cup-winning captain.
“England is the best white-ball team in the world, I would try to learn from him, he has a great mind,” Karthik added.
The 13th version of IPL kicks off from September 19th within the UAE, with the ultimate to be performed from November 10th. The matches will happen in three cities – Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
