A call on reopening motels and eating places in Maharashtra might be taken quickly after finalising Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray stated on Sunday.
Interacting with varied associations of motels and lodges, the Chief Minister stated the resort trade performed a vital function within the tourism sector.
Addressing one other assembly, the CM has appealed to corporations to not retrench their employees even when there’s a wage lower.
“SoPs for reopening hotels and restaurants are being finalised. Once that is done, a decision on reopening hotels and restaurants will be taken soon,” the chief minister stated in a web based assembly.
In a bid to reopen industries in a staggered method within the state, the Thackeray authorities had final month launched the ”Mission Begin Again” or Unlock 1.
Urging the resort trade to not retrench employees because the ”Mission Begin Again” is underway, the CM stated reopening could be accomplished fastidiously with the emphasis on well being and security.

The resort and restaurant trade is shedding over Rs 6 crore per day as a result of lockdown, they stated.
“If social distancing norms (for patrons) and overall hygiene protocol is maintained, then there is no problem (in reopening hotels),” they stated.
Addressing a gathering of office-bearers of the Bhartiya Kamgar Sena, the labour wing of the ruling Shiv Sena, the chief minister stated employers mustn’t retrench their employees even when there’s a wage lower.
He assured to talk with administration of corporations that are shedding employees.
