Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar stated on Friday that the federal government was pondering of imposing a hefty advantageous of Rs 1,000 for not sporting a masks.
He was talking on the inauguration of a COVID-19 hospital in Pimpri-Chinchwad space close to Pune.
At current, the advantageous for not sporting a masks within the state ranges from Rs 200 to Rs 500.
Mr Pawar stated social distancing norms must be adopted and other people should use masks to forestall coronavirus infections from spreading.
“There are several places in the state where people do not use masks the way it is expected. We are now thinking of imposing a fine of Rs 1,000 on those who don’t use the mask in Pune city, Pimpri Chinchwad and the district,” he stated.
