An offence of violation of the mannequin code of conduct has been registered in opposition to BJP candidate in Maharashtra Legislative Council ballot Nitin Dhande after a rally was held in his assist right here with out permission from authorities, an official mentioned on Monday. After Shiv Sena’s Shrikant Deshpande, Dhande is the second candidate to be booked for alleged breach of the election code in drive for the December 1 council ballot from the lecturers’ constituency within the Amravati division.
Divisional Commissioner Piyush Singh mentioned an election rally in Dhande’s assist was held on the lawns of a resort right here on Sunday with out taking permission from authorities. The rally was addressed by BJP chief Devendra Fadnavis, amongst others.
Singh, who can also be the returning officer for the ballot, advised.
