A 30-year-old man was allegedly kidnapped and tortured by three males, together with his employer, in Kothrud in Maharashtra over a monetary dispute relating to the sufferer’s keep in Delhi on the corporate’s cash throughout the lockdown, police stated on Sunday.
Though the alleged incident occurred on June 13 and June 14 on the agency’s workplace, an FIR was lodged solely on July 2 with Paud police station, an official stated.
The complainant used to work as a supervisor for the agency which organises exhibitions of work of artists, he stated.
He had gone to Delhi for some official work in March however received caught there because of the coronavirus-enforced lockdown, he stated.
The complainant stayed in a lodge in Delhi and spent the money given to him by his workplace, the official stated.
“After returning to Pune on May 7, the complainant’s employer asked him to get quarantined in a hotel for 17 days. Since he did not have money, he mortgaged his phone and debit card before check out,” he stated quoting the FIR.
On June 13, the proprietor of the corporate and his aide demanded cash spent by the complainant and bundled him right into a automotive, the official stated.
“They took him to the firm’s office where he was confined. The owner and two others thrashed him and sprayed sanitiser on his private parts,” the official stated.
They launched him later, he stated. The complainant received himself admitted in a personal hospital and lodged an FIR on Thursday.
Further investigation is underway. No arrest has been made to this point.
