A person was arrested in Nashik metropolis of Maharashtra on Wednesday for allegedly killing a nine-year-old boy, a neighbour’s son, who had seen him committing a theft. The police arrested the accused — Vishal Gejge and his pal Swapnil Vasant Sonawane — inside 24 hours of the incident, mentioned an official.
As per the complainant Lalababu Seetaram Yadav, resident of Samangaon Road space, his son Ramji (9) went lacking on Tuesday. He learnt that his neighbour Vishal Gejge had taken Ramji with him whereas driving to Gejge’s mom’s home in a van to ship greens.
When Gejge returned house early subsequent morning, Yadav requested him about Ramji. Gejge informed him that he had dropped the boy close to his home hours earlier. However, when the police interrogated Gejge and his pal Sonawane, Gejge confessed that he had killed Ramji, the official mentioned.
He informed police that he and Sonawane supplied raise to a person close to Sinnar Phata in his van, and robbed him of Rs 4,000 in money a long way away earlier than leaving him on the highway. Ramji witnessed what occurred and mentioned he would inform his father about it. Gejge then dropped Sonawane at Sinnar Phata and took Ramji to an unidentified place through Naygaon Road and strangulated him, he informed the police.
Nashik Road police arrested Gejge for homicide and theft, and Sonawane for theft. Further probe is on.
