As a part of step by step restoring Metro rail operations, the Bangalore Metro Rail on Wednesday commenced companies on one other sector – the Green Line. However, just a few passengers have been seen, in accordance with officers.
Metro Rail officers mentioned the trains will function solely throughout peak hours from eight am to 11 am and 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm. The companies will step by step normalise from September 11 when the trains will begin operating from 7 am to 9 pm, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) officers mentioned.
The Purple Line had recorded a footfall of three,770 passengers from 91 journeys on Monday when the companies resumed after five-and-half months of coronavirus-forced lockdown, the BMRCL mentioned.
