NHAI collaborates with IITs, NITs

The greatest brains in India’s reputed know-how institutes will “adopt” highways and work with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in its endeavour to create a community of world-class highways.

Eighteen IITs, 26 NITs and 190 different schools have agreed to collaborate with the highways builder underneath an initiative whereby they undertake a stretch of nationwide freeway close by and change notes with NHAI on the most recent applied sciences in making and sustaining highways. About 200 institutes have signed the MoU. Over 300 institutes are anticipated to collaborate to undertake freeway stretches, NHAI mentioned in a press release Friday.

The institutes will examine enchancment prospects in highway security, upkeep, driving consolation, removing of choke factors and utilization of latest applied sciences on the adopted stretches and provides appropriate ideas to NHAI.
