New Delhi:
Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Saturday mentioned there could be no talks with the Centre till agriculture payments are taken again.
He mentioned SAD is a “pro-farmers party” and they’ll “struggle” for his or her stand.
“We will go to Punjab now, where party leaders and workers will hold a meeting. Since Shiromani Akali Dal is a party of farmers, we will struggle. There can be no talks with the Centre till the bills are taken back,” Mr Badal informed reporters.
SAD chief Manjinder Singh Sirsa, who met Mr Badal, lauded him over the occasion”s stand on agriculture payments.
“We congratulate Sukhbir Singh Badal and Harsimrat Kaur Badal for standing with farmers against the centre over the bills,” Mr Sirsa mentioned.
The Lok Sabha has handed three payments associated to reforms in agriculture advertising. The payments search to provide farmers extra freedom to promote their produce.
SAD chief Harsimrat Kaur Badal had resigned from the Union Cabinet conveying her opposition over the three agriculture-related payments which search to switch ordinances introduced earlier by the federal government.
SAD is a constituent of ruling NDA on the Centre.
