The RSS-backed Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (BKS) on Monday stated it will not help Tuesday’s ”Bharat Bandh” in opposition to the Centre’s new farm legal guidelines, however would really like the legislations to undergo some “improvements”.

“We are not supporting the ”Bharat bandh” but we don’t endorse the three laws in toto (completely),” Mahesh Choudhari, BKS workplace bearer, advised PTI.
“We want some improvements in the Acts. We wrote to the Centre in August and recommended facilitating procurement at minimum support price (MSP) following suggestions from villages. The Centre has already given an assurance that this would be looked into,” Mr Choudhari stated.
He stated the BKS strongly favours the “ek bazaar, ek desh” (one market, one nation) provision within the Acts in addition to a number of different measures which can profit farmers immensely.
Mr Choudhari sought to downplay the continuing protests by farmers on outskirts of Delhi, saying “you know the people involved in them and slogans being raised there”.
Thousands of farmers, largely from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, are protesting at numerous border factors of Delhi in opposition to the brand new farm legal guidelines.
Several rounds of talks between the Centre and farmers have failed to interrupt the impasse.
