Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deal with the concluding session of the 80th All India Presiding Officers Conference on Thursday by way of video conferencing. The two-day convention at Kevadia in Gujarat begins Wednesday.
President Ram Nath Kovind will inaugurate the convention which may even be attended by Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, the state’s Chief Minister Vijay Rupani amongst others, an official assertion mentioned. Speaker Om Birla can also be the chairperson of the convention. The All India Presiding Officers Conference started in 1921, and the Gujarat occasion marks its centenary yr.
The theme for this yr’s convention is Harmonious Coordination between Legislature, Executive and Judiciary- Key to a Vibrant Democracy.
