NEW DELHI: The road, transport and highways ministry is formulating a coverage which can mandate all overseas firms to take prior safety permission from the federal government to be eligible to bid for any road venture. No nation hostile to India shall be ready to get this clearance.
Sources mentioned a committee has been arrange to put together the coverage after the division for promotion of business and inside commerce issued a round to every infrastructure ministries to put together the plan for Atmanirbhar Bharat. The coverage shall be finalised by Monday.

On Wednesday, Union road transport minister Nitin Gadkari had advised TOI he has directed ministry officers to tweak the bid paperwork to prohibit Chinese corporations from taking part in any road venture executed by his ministry. He had mentioned even joint ventures with Chinese participation is not going to be allowed.
