Bajaj Auto Limited has introduced that it’ll invest Rs 650 crore to arrange a producing facility in Chakan industrial space of Pune district. A press launch issued by the corporate, late on Tuesday night, mentioned that the corporate has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra authorities in this regard and that manufacturing would start in 2023.
Headquartered in Pune, the corporate has manufacturing services in the town and Pantnagar already. The press launch added that the brand new facility can be utilised for manufacturing high-end KTM, Husqvarna and Triumph bikes in addition to for electrical automobiles beginning with Chetak. “Under the arrangement, the Government of Maharashtra will facilitate Bajaj Auto in obtaining necessary permissions/ registrations/ approvals/ clearances/ fiscal incentives, etc from the concerned departments of the State, as per the existing policies/ rules and regulations of the Government of Maharashtra,” the discharge learn.
