Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a high-level assembly on Tuesday to assessment the progress of assorted infrastructure initiatives which can be beneath building in border areas together with Ladakh area, officers stated.

“The ongoing infrastructure projects of Border Road Organisation were reviewed in a meeting today. BRO has been doing commendable work.The construction of strategic roads, bridges and tunnels in the border areas will be expedited. The BRO is working vigorously towards this goal,” Rajnath Singh stated on Twitter after the assembly.
In a press release, the Defence Ministry stated the state of ahead connectivity to frame areas was reviewed on the assembly and the constant want of boosting the continuing initiatives and to expedite the development of strategic roads, bridges and tunnels within the border areas was mentioned.
The assembly was attended by Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar and different senior officers of the ministry, the assertion famous.
“A major surge in outcomes delivered by BRO (Border Roads Organisation) is evident from the fact that BRO has executed 30 per cent more works in FY 2019-20 as compared to FY 2018-19. BRO has worked incessantly even during the restrictions imposed due to COVID-19 without affecting the progress of various projects,” the assertion acknowledged.
Despite unprecedented snowfall this 12 months, all strategic passes and roads have been cleared for visitors about one month earlier than their common yearly opening dates, it acknowledged.
