A self-styled godman arrested for sexually exploiting kids in his ashram at Shukartal close to Muzaffarnagar was denied bail on Wednesday by a particular court docket attempting circumstances of crime towards kids.
Special Judge Sanjiv Kumar Tiwari denied bail to Swami Bhakti Bhushan Maharaj, saying that the fees towards the accused are critical and he deserves no bail at this juncture.
Maharaj, the proprietor of an ashram at Shukartal close to Muzaffarnagar was arrested final month alongside together with his disciple Kishan Mohan Das for allegedly sexually exploiting kids and forcing them to work as labourers, stated prosecution counsel Dinesh Sharma.
They had been booked underneath IPC sections 323 (voluntarily inflicting harm), 377 (unnatural offences), 504 (intentional insult with intent to impress breach of the peace) and sections 5/6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The police had filed the charge-sheet towards the accused earlier this month, stated the prosecution counsel, including the sufferer kids, who belonged to Tripura and Mizoram, are presently underneath the safety of the Child Welfare Board.
